 Programs |
Project Unveil is comprised of three outreach programs: Viva Camp, Viva After-School Program, and Project Unveil Academy. These programs incorporate the Dramatic Education by Inclusion and Expression (DEBIX) methodology created by Oluwadara Johnson.
The DEBIX methodology involves using active storytelling, play reading and writing, and acting to improve cognitive capabilities, promote self expression, and provide an outlet for dealing with difficult circumstances. |
Viva Camp
Viva Camp is an all-expense paid camp, hosted by Project Unveil in Ibadan, for Nigerian girls from very low-income backgrounds. The camp augments the traditional education that the girls are receiving in the public school system by providing them with summer classes in Mathematics, Science, English language, and Literature whilst exposing them to performing and fine arts, critical reasoning, sports and computer training. During the camp, the girls are taught about personal hygiene and good etiquette, taken on field trips and are also given the opportunity to interact with and learn from prominent directors, actors, actresses and producers in the Nigerian film, television and print-media industries. |

Viva After-School Program
Viva After-School Program supports the camp participants during the school year by covering education-related costs and by providing: mentorship and pastoral support; performing and fine arts classes; critical reasoning courses; sports activities; and computer training. |

Project Unveil Academy
In addition to empowering and educating the children, we also provide a wealth of resources to parents and guardians via the Project Unveil Academy.
The Project Unveil Academy hosts courses, workshops and seminars, which educate parents and guardians of members on various issues including parenting, adult education, health & fitness, entrepreneurship, leadership, business, and finance. |
